What are the pros and cons of failing?


Failure refers to the state of not meeting your target and it's likely known as the opposite of success.Failure is unavoidable.No one will always win.However,can failure lead to success?How can we be overcome failure?There are examples of failure leading to success but there are people who cannot end their streak of failing.

Can failure lead to success?Of course!We just have to persevere and not to give up hope.One good example is National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).When the Columbia space shuttle broke apart in 2003,no one expected that it will lead to a success. NASA astronaut Dr. Charles Camarda said that where there is failure, there is knowledge and understanding that doesn't come with success.


If a man were to succeed in everything he does,he would not know what to do or expect when he fails.This proves that failing is not entirely bad.We can all learn from our mistakes and improve ourselves to do better the next time.As you have probably heard,history repeats itself, you would know what to do and how to handle the situation if you are about to fail again.

To some people,failure is a step to success but to others,it is a sign that they will always fail which is not true.These people have low self/moral esteem and they will feel negative about themselves when they fail.They give up hope easily and would not want to try again.An example is the NTU student who commited suicide after stabbing his professor.The student failed to complete his final year project and negative thought came to his mind.He was not confident and felt down.This goes to how that failure is a test of your mind control.How you take failure is entirely up to you.

A minority of people take failure as their "luck".They live their lives based on luck.Each time they fail,they will put aside and think no less of it.They would not bother to learn from their mistake and they will continue to make that mistake.This people are what you normally call gamblers.When they fail to win the prize money,they will blame it on luck and try again without veiwing about what went wrong.They will try and try until they succeed but once they succeed,they will gain at a loss.For example,a gambler spent $2 to win $10 and if they fail,they will keep spending $2 until they get their $10 but once they make $10,they might have spend $30 to $40 at least.This is a rough example.

Therefore,failure is a step to success if you learn from your mistakes but failure can also be a tragic history that repeats itself.The only thing that can determine which road you choose is you and no one else.Others are like barking dogs,you will hear them but you won't listen.So only you have the power to choose.
